I had the opportunity to go to the MidAtlantic Quilt Festival this week, and I am standing next to my quilt, The Oath. It was a wonderful show. I took my Mom; we celebrated her birthday while there and I wore her out with all the walking around the exhibit hall. It was her first time at one of the big quilt shows, and it is rather overwhelming! I was tired, too, but came home with some lovely goodies to play with in the next few weeks, and a lot of ideas and inspiration. Next year, I will stay a bit longer and take a class or two.

I can sense spring in the air, but it's cold and windy today. Starting to see the crocuses push their way thru the mulch, and a few more snowdrops are blooming.
This quilt is called "Chromospheres". I was playing around with improvisationally pieced circles in high contrast complementary colors. I really like the asymmetric setting, looks rather primitive to me.
